Most of the Ramayana happens in unglamorous preparation — searching for Sita, building the bridge, gathering allies, waiting for the right moment. Hanuman was present for all of it. The leap to Lanka was dramatic; the months of work that made the leap possible were not. Discipline is mostly the unexciting hours.
