Dharmic Victory
Day 27
The Righteous Conqueror
Chanakya's final hope was for the vijigishu — the one seeking to conquer — to become a dharmaraja: a king whose victory is fair and just. Not because doing the right thing is always the fastest path. It's because a kingdom won through unjust means needs constant force just to hold onto it. A just victory is simply more stable in the long run than an unjust one. Over time, doing right and doing well point in the same direction.
Reflection
In your most important goal, how are you winning? Are you winning in a way you would be comfortable with ten years from now?
Today's Practice
Review one recent significant decision or action. Ask: is this something you would do the same way if everyone involved could see exactly what you are doing and why?
