Chanakya Strategy Coach
Long-Term Thinking
Day 26
Long Game vs Short Game
Chanakya's whole career was a long game. He planned Chandragupta's training, the defeat of the Nanda dynasty, and the building of an empire — all across decades. Every daily decision was measured against that far-off goal. The discipline is this: regularly remind yourself of your multi-year vision, and weigh today's pressures against what they will cost you later.
Reflection
What decision are you being pressured to make right now that would relieve short-term pressure at the cost of your long-term position?
Today's Practice
Write down where you want to be in three years. For each current major decision, ask: which option is better for the three-year position?
