Hanuman Strength Challenge
Resilience
Day 18
Grief and Resilience
Hanuman's first sight of Sita in the ashoka grove was of profound suffering — thin, tormented, kept alive only by hope. His response was not to turn away from the grief, or to be paralysed by it, but to be moved by it into action. Grief, in the Ramayana, is the fuel of devotion, not its opposite.
Reflection
Is there a grief you have been not fully allowing — keeping it at arm's length rather than letting it move you? What would it mean to feel it fully?
Today's Practice
Set a timer for ten minutes. Sit with something you are sad about — without distraction, without management. Let it be what it is.
