Daily Gita Guidance
Fear
Day 5
Fear and Its Root
“While contemplating sense objects, a person develops attachment; from attachment comes desire; from desire comes anger.”
— BG 2.62
Fear almost always starts with attachment — with placing your sense of being okay onto something outside you. The Gita isn't asking you to stop wanting things. It's asking you to notice how gripping too tightly turns ordinary wanting into suffering.
Reflection
What fear is most present in you right now? Can you trace it back to an attachment — something you need to go a specific way?
Today's Practice
Name the one thing you are most afraid of losing today. Sit with it for three minutes without trying to fix or deny it.
