The Nature of Power

Chanakya — also called Kautilya — wrote the Arthashastra as a practical manual on power, not a celebration of it. Power does not mean tyranny. It means the ability to actually get things done in the world. Without power, you cannot even protect dharma — the right and moral way to live. So the real question is never whether to want power. It is how you get it, how you keep it, and how you use it.
