30-Day Bhagavad Gita Study
The Duty to Act

Day 9

Action Is Better Than Inaction

Perform your prescribed duties, for action is better than inaction. A man cannot even maintain his body without work.

BG 3.8

Krishna's insistence on action is not about rushing in without thought. It is a rejection of the kind of standing still that dresses itself up as wisdom. Even keeping your body alive takes action. The real question is never whether to act, but how to act, and from what place inside you.

Reflection

Is there something in your life you are 'waiting on' that is actually avoidance? What would the first small action be?

Today's Practice

Take one small, concrete action today on something you have been 'waiting' on. Observe how it feels.
