Captured, Not Defeated
When Ravana had Hanuman's tail set on fire, he wanted to shame him and break his spirit. Instead, Hanuman made himself small enough to slip free of his bonds. He waited for the right moment, then broke loose. He used the very fire meant to hurt him to leap from roof to roof across Lanka, burning the city down. The thing meant to defeat him became the tool that won the day.
