Daily Gita Guidance
Equanimity
Day 9
Equanimity
“One who sees with equality the pleasure and pain of all beings as one sees their own is considered the highest yogi.”
— BG 6.32
Equal vision — treating everyone's joy and pain as worth the same care — is not the same as not caring. It means giving the same full attention whether a moment is pleasant or painful. A person like this is more present than most, not less, because they're not holding anything at arm's length.
Reflection
Are there people in your life you treat with noticeably more attention than others? What is the difference based on?
Today's Practice
Today, bring the same quality of attention to one person you tend to overlook as you naturally give to someone you love.
